According to WTTC (World Travel and Tourism Council), Brazilian tourism must improve an average of 5,3% a year in the next 20 ones.

In 2010, the number of arrivals (domestic and internacional) in Brazil was around 68 million.
 
Foreing tourists expenditures in Brazil in 2009 was U$ 5.305 billion.

Brazil has 9,000 travel agencies and  3,500 ABAV (Brazilain Asscoaition of Travel Agencies)

Brazilian Tourist expenditures  on international travels during the first three months of 2010: U$ 3.3 billion.

United States still is is the favorite destination for brazilian tourists.  In 2009,  892,611 brazilian tourists went to the USA  (a 16% increase compared to 2008).

Brazil is the 5th main tourist emitter to the United States, after UK, Japain, Germany and France. And it is the first Latin American source of tourists to the US.

According to the European Tourism Comission (ETC),  Brazil is the Latin American main tourist emitter to Europe.

Portugal, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and UK were the most visited destinations.
