Colombia enlarges its participation at the 24th Festuris

The Andean country confirms its presence in a 96m² stand.

Gramado Tourism Trade Fair (Festuris) CEOs Eduardo Zorzanello and Marcus Vinícius confirmed the presence of Colombia at the 24th edition of the event. During meeting in the office of Pro Export Brasil (which promotes the Colombian tourism in Brazil), in São Paulo, it was agreed the accomplishment of a bigger stand, from 48m² of the last edition to 96m² in 2012.

 “It´s really an important achievement, because we will count on a presence of a remarkable  Andean country, which brings a beautiful interactive space, as we were able to check at Fitur, in Spain, in the beginning of this year”, says Zorzanello.

In the meeting with Pro Export CEO Carlos Rodrigues Tribín and the Tourism Advisor Suellen Bandeira, it was determined that Colombia is going to set its stand in the main street of the Trade Fair,  at Serra Park Center, consolidating itself, this way, as one of the most expressive destinations to take part at Festuris.

  • Puerto Varas renovates participation

    In this 24th edition of Festuris - Gramado Tourism Trade Show, the Chilean town of Puerto Varas, also renowned for its sister city relationship with Gramado, renovates its participation, asserting that the trade fair is an event of effective results in terms of tourism results. Festuris is recognized by the trade as one of the largest fairs of the sector, in South America.

    Distant 960 kilometres South from Santiago, Puerto Varas is a city of temperate climate, with temperatures varying from 44 degrees F on Winter to 57 degrees F on Summer. Puerto Varas has 110 years of history and is so-called “City of Roses”. Settled by Germans since the mid-century 19, it is inhabited by around 40 thousand people and keeps the German architecture, gastronomy and culture. One of the main tourism spots is Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, famous for the 2.600 metters high Volcano Osorno, still in activity, nowadays one of the most photographed landscapes in Chile.

    In 2011, during the 23rd edition of Festuris, it was celebrated the 20 years of sister cities relationship between the two cities. To emphasize the date, the City Council of Gramado denominated one of the its avenues as Puerto Varas. The Chilean twin city already has, on its turn, an avenue called Gramado.




  • CEOs of Festuris attended to FITUR

    Eduardo Zorzanello and Marcus Rossi, CEOs of Gramado Tourism Trade Show, represented the event, as well as Brazil, at FITUR in Madrid, Spain, in search of new attractions to Festuris and new business.
    By means of this action, the CEOs intended to divulge even more Festuris in Europe,  enlarging the internationalization of the event. Before FITUR, Marcus and Eduardo visited TAM Airlines headquarters in Germany, aiming to achieve this country´s participation, as an exhibitor, in the next edition of Festuris.
    Ten months prior to the 24th edition, the commercialization and divulgement of Festuris have started, objectifying the improvement and the best quality for all the tourist trade and participants.
    FITUR
    In its 32nd edition, FITUR – International Tourism Trade Fair started this Wednesday (January 18) and followed till Sunday (January 22), opening the season of the great international tourism fairs in Europe. As the previous editions, the three first visitation days were destined to professionals, while on January 21 and 22 the fair was opened to general public. Considered the largest event for the latin language speaking countries, FITUR is supposed to surpass the numbers of the last edition, when 209.260 visitors attended the fair. Among them, 119.661 visitors were professional ones, being 30% general directors and 20% marketing directors.
